Ferry Trip

SPECTATOR FERRY

The Spectator Ferry is an experience of sailing of a different kind and for the 2020/21 season, we are delighted to see the return of Radar as the SFS spectator ferry.

A true historic icon, Radar was built in 1946 and has been restored in 2020.  She has a strong social connection with Sydney Harbour, having plied routes along the Parramatta and Lane Cove rivers, including the daily school run.  Historically she served as the spectator ferry for the Sydney Flying Squadron 18-foot skiff races and in her fresh look with re-built engine visible to patrons through the showpiece glass casing, she is perfect for the modern-day job.

As we follow the sailing race, experience Sydney Harbour in a different way.  Sip on a glass of wine, enjoy the on board commentary and meet new people or bring your own crowd. Great opportunities for photography.

Come aboard for the experience. You won’t be disappointed.

Radar leaves from the Club’s wharf each week at 2 pm sharp and returns approximately at 4 pm.
