Harbour movements
The ships due in and out of Sydney Harbour over the next three days, and which of them cross the water the fleet races on, between the Heads and the Bridge.
The next three days
The movements load here from the Port Authority's list, as the club's logger reads it every fifteen minutes. Without JavaScript, the Port Authority's page, linked below, has them.
- Keep 30 metres from any vessel under escort, and never pass between a ship and its escort. The Harbour Master's Directions require both, and a piloted ship over 100 metres, or a piloted tanker of any size, has an escort.
- On the harbour, listen on VHF 13, Sydney VTS's channel, for changes. Sydney VTS broadcasts the next two hours' movements on 13 at five past every odd hour, from 01:05 to 23:05.
Times are the Port Authority's guide and can change at short notice. Arrivals are timed at the pilot boarding ground east of South Head, and the Bradleys Head times are the Port Authority's estimate from past passages. The latest is on the Port Authority's Sydney Harbour daily vessel movements page.
Each row leads with the time the ship is on the racing area: at Bradleys Head for an arrival, at the Bridge for a departure from a berth west of it, otherwise when it leaves its berth. A red rule marks a ship bound for or leaving Gore Cove, Glebe Island or White Bay, which passes under the Bridge and so crosses the whole course. On race days each race's page lists the movements around that race; the racing calendar has the races.
